A·VAN·TI · adv. · Forward, Onward, Pushed Ahead
Trattoria Avanti
to push forward
The One Idea
Tradition Isn’t Preserved.
It’s propelled.
Trattoria Avanti is a Bristol room opened by two cooks who learned the craft from a nonna who measured everything a occhio— by eye, by hand, by memory — and were then pushed further by the chefs they cooked beside. Where humble ingredients become something special. Where tradition moves forward.
Signature · Pasta
Pig Head
Tortellini
in brodo
Tortellini stuffed with pig head, served with chicken consommé. Long braise, fine pasta — the kitchen’s discipline at the pass.

The Room
Cobalt Walls. Oak Tables. The Glass On The Wall.
The mark above the room is a wine glass on a long stem — the first letter of the verb. The framed aperitivo prints on the plaster are the lineage the whole place is built from. Come and sit beneath them.
